| Where the smallest voice is
heard…
The
Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) exists to minimize the trauma children
must face when they have been victimized by abuse. Child victims of abuse
need the careful attention of professionals trained to address their special
needs. In the past, each victim seeking help faced multiple contacts with
different community professionals, creating a maze of confusion and family.
Instead of being forced to go from agency to agency families come to one
place, the CAC, where there is a love for children, passion for justice
and vision for restored childhood.
The Children’s Advocacy Center investigates severe physical and
sexual child abuse cases in Smith County. All of the cases referred to
the multidisciplinary team are from either law enforcement or Child Protective
Services.
The CAC is a 501(c)(3) organization. Relationships developed with individuals,
foundations, corporations and community organizations in combination with
special events, fundraisers, in-kind donations and federal and state grants
serve to create a solid and diversified funding base. View our CAC
Organizational brochure (pdf) to learn more.
